BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COMPANY:
Consolidated Steel Company was founded in 1954 as RBM Metals,
a ceiling grid manufacturer with one six foot long rolling mill
in Columbia, South Carolina. As the product evolved into roofing,
decking and roll form (light gauge) framing, RBM became Consolidated
Steel Company to reflect the expansion of our product line.
Always seeking proactive ways to meet customer needs, Consolidated
Steel Company diversified to include an oven baked coating line
in 1972. This led to another name change to better describe our
growing company — Consolidated Systems, Inc.
Since that time, Consolidated Systems, Inc. has initiated a plan
of focused, customer oriented growth. We now operate a wholly
owned cargo subsidiary, Consolidated Cargo Carriers, as well as
facilities in South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas.
