Benefits of Chamber Membership

What the Chamber Does for You . . . .

The Chamber of Commerce can put you in touch with people who may become new clients or customers. As a Chamber member, you will expand your new business contacts by attending regularly scheduled activities organized by the Chamber to bring the business community together.

Business Networking Mixers
Quarterly events that bring people together at a chamber member’s location to spotlight that business.  By taking the time to meet with other business people and discovering how you can help them and they can help you, you can develop relationships that will provide great rewards for you in the future.  People like doing business with people they know.  Networking is also the most inexpensive way to promote your business.  The Terrell Chamber of Commerce hosts a variety of events to help you build your network of business contracts. The events also provide members an opportunity to exchange business cards, make new contacts and have a lot of fun.

New Member Orientation
Offers a time with fellow new members to learn about all the benefits of being a chamber member, including a quick tutorial on tools members can use to promote their business via our website. Members can also share information about their business with the group. 

Chamber Luncheons
Monthly luncheons are held on the third Monday of the month at 11:30 a.m.  These meetings are open to the membership and provide our executive committee, key community leaders, and members an opportunity to give updates on various projects, events, and activities.  New members also get a chance to introduce themselves.  It is also an excellent venue to make and renew contacts with other professionals. 

Annual Membership Meeting & Industry Recognition Luncheon
This annual luncheon is hosted by the Chamber and Terrell Economic Development Corporation and recognizes industry milestones and key volunteers from the past year.

President's Club
This is the public relations arm of the Chamber that welcomes new members, assists in Chamber projects, and attends ribbon cutting, grand opening, and groundbreaking services and support. Volunteers earn points for participating in various activities. The individual that accumulates the most points each quarter receives a recognition gift. The "President's Award" recognizes the individual with the highest number of points at the end of the year.

Opportunities arise throughout the year to join various Committee Meetings projects, providing avenues for your ideas and leadership.

Small Business Development Center
In partnership with the Chamber, Trinity Valley Community College SBC hosts seminars focused on small businesses. Individual counseling sessions are also available to small business owners. In addition, the chamber hosts monthly meetings for the Terrell Small Business Organization. The Organization works together on a variety of events throughout the year, including Happy Days in Terrell America—National Mom & Pop, the annual downtown fall decorating contest, and Small Business Saturday in November.

Community Profile & Referral Guide
This directory provides a Business Referral Guide exclusive to Chamber member businesses. You will be included in both the alphabetical and categorical sections and will be offered advertising space. The Guide is distributed to visitors and residents and is available online.

Internet Exposure to all Chamber members through our online membership directory, navigable by category or alphabetically.  Contact information includes links to members’ websites, social media, email address, and phone numbers. In addition, each member has an opportunity to submit online promotions, job postings, and events that are posted on the website for the public.

The Chamber website receives more than 2,000 visits each week, giving your business exposure to thousands of potential customers over the course of a year.

Ribbon Cutting
RIbbon cuttings are hosted for all new chamber members. The President's Club and staff will welcome you into the Chamber with a ribbon cutting, membership plaque and photo opportunity either at your business or the Chamber office. The photo, along with a brief description of your business, will be published in the Terrell Tribune and the Chamber Spotlight Newsletter.

The Chamber Spotlight
The Chamber Spotlight newsletter is published six times per year providing you with upcoming events listings, new membership announcements, community news, chamber activities and accomplishments.

Business Referrals given to walk-in customers, phone or email requests are exclusive to Chamber members. Your business information is also included in the membership listing on the Chamber website.

We encourage you to provide the Chamber with your business cards and promotional literature for us to distribute. Also, keep us informed about upcoming events.
