Chances are you know a business owner. Perhaps you are one yourself. So, I do not have to tell you just how hard this pandemic has been on businesses, especially small ones.

What I can tell you is we at the Terrell Chamber of Commerce remain committed to being an essential partner to our member businesses and helping them overcome the challenges we have all faced over the past year. Like these businesses, we have had to pivot and find new ways to serve our customers…our members. Our staff has been experimenting with avenues to keep us connected, as well as exploring options to make dues payments more convenient and flexible. We continue to search for fresh ideas that will provide value to our members in a time when we are unable to do many of the things we used to, such as in-person monthly board luncheons.

We certainly look forward to the day we can resume our “normal” in-person Chamber networking activities, but in the meantime, we will continue to look for creative ways to keep everyone connected.

I must say if you’re not already a Chamber member, here are a few reasons why now is a great time to join. Chamber members can:

Connect with nearly 500 other local businesses who are also contributing to the success of Terrell.
Take advantage of a new feature that allows storage of a credit card for automatic payments. This allows members to split dues into semi-annual, quarterly or monthly payment installments. Small business memberships are only $250 a year; that’s only $20.83 per month! Plus, the stored payment stays on file for annual renewals, so you don’t have to hassle with it.
Safely network with other members through monthly virtual networking events. Our Blitzr format allows you to talk 1-on-1 with other members, resulting in new personal connections that could perhaps turn into business opportunities, partnerships or friendships.
Increase business exposure through:
New member welcomes and ribbon cuttings publicized on our Facebook page, which has more than 5,600 followers.
The opportunity to complete a Member Spotlight Q&A that is featured on our Facebook page, in our newsletter and potentially our printed Spotlight newsletter.
Inclusion in our annual Community Profile & Referral Guide publication that is distributed to all members, visitors to the Chamber and prospective members.
Exclusive referrals.
Exclusive shares on social media.
Promotional opportunities, such as events or giveaway campaigns.
Take advantage of exclusive advertising and sponsorship opportunities, such as:
Terrell Cash sponsorship, which includes an ad printed on each certificate generated
Event sponsorships, including the Clay Shoot, Terrell Jubilee, Fourth of July or the Civic Auction
Of course, these are just a handful of benefits our members receive. Details on all benefits can be found on our website at You can even join online! So, if you or a business owner you know is ready to get involved and connect with others in the community, we’d love to have you as an essential Chamber partner.
